1 August 2009 "Turn of Fate" Joshua A. Cohen is now writing and executive producing a short film for Stray Dog Films as part of the Project: Twenty1 film festival. It is an existential, metaphysical, ethos drama about a mourning father attempting to exact revenge upon Fate herself. Filming Aug. 8-9 and premiering in Philadelphia shortly thereafter.

15 July 2009 Red Herring is Now Casting Casting is to be held Aug 6, 7, and 8 inside Hollywood Studios, Las Vegas at the corner of Nevso and Hugh Hefner Dr, behind the Palms Casino. Most roles are paid, and everyone will receive copy, credit & meals. This is a SAG Ultra-Low Budget Feature, so both Union and Non-Union actors are welcome to apply. 5 July 2009 Cohencidence Goes RED Cohencidence Productions, in association with GotFilms, has purchased a RED ONE Digital Cinema package. Red One is the best camera on the planet. 3 July 2009 Project Twenty1 Joshua Cohen of Cohencidence Productions, will be writing and executive producing a 10-minute short for Stray Dog Films as part of the Project Twenty1 film festival out of Philadelphia. The project runs August 1-22 with our anticipated filming dates Aug 7 & 9.

2 July 2009 "Red Herring" Update * We are making progress in finding a star for our film. * Richard Baldomero has been named as our Asst. Director. * Claim Jumper and Jason's Deli have agreed to sponsor us with some meals for cast and crew. * We are now officially registered on IMDb!
19 June 2009 Feature Film Update * Cohencidence has selected Ousa Khun as the director of our first feature film, "Red Herring." In addition to dozens of corporate and music videos, Ousa has directed 2 ultra-low budget features. After an extensive selection process with more than 65 applicants, Ousa proved he was the best with camera work, style, actor direction and dedication. Congratulations and welcome to the team, Ousa! * Production schedule has been moved up to anticipate better weather. We are now tentatively scheduled to shoot weekdays Sept 14th - Oct 16th. * Casting for supporting roles is tentatively scheduled for August 2-4. * Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Ricardo's Mexican Restaurant have generously agreed to cater some meals for the cast and crew. Please go eat at their restaurants and thank them for their generosity! * We continue to discuss the opportunity with investors and several B- and C-level Hollywood stars. More to come soon.

3 May 2009 Feature Film in Pre-Production! "Red Herring" the first feature film to be produced by Cohencidence Productions, is now in pre-production. Shooting is scheduled for Oct 5 - Nov 6. We are now seeking a Director to helm the project and Executive Producers who would consider investing in the film. Please contact Joshua for the script and package.

2 May 2009 "Project Z" is Wrapped! Our 3-day shoot was our biggest and best ever, with as many as 50 cast & crew on set at a time. Almost everything went smoothly, and we consider it our best work to date. The short zombie film written, directed, edited and executive produced by the Baldomero Brothers, is intended to be our calling card to show investors the level of quality of which we are capable. We are currently in post and should be premiering the film in early June. Stay tuned!

19 April 2009 "Missing Pieces" is Wrapped! Our entry into the 48 Hour Film Project 2009. We pulled the "Buddy Film" genre and had to include: * A character named James Switzer, electrician * A plate * The line: "Just remember, you didn't hear it from me."
This was a true story by Richard Baldomero, written by Joshua A. Cohen, directed by Forrest Olinger, and starring Ross Alzina and Damien Horton.
The film premiered April 23rd at Brendan Theaters inside the Palms. We had a great response from the audience.

"Patient Zero" is a Winner!
Our entry in the 2009 A3F (Almost Famous Film Festival) is called "Patient Zero." We had 2 days to create a 1-5 minute film with the following elements:
*
Theme: A great loss * Someone opening or closing a backpack * The line "This changes everything."
The film was written by Joshua A. Cohen, directed by Forrest Olinger, and starred Amanda Ouest and James Silvas. We were a Top 20 finisher, and Amanda won an individual acting award.

"Envision" is Wrapped!
This 5-minute short for YouTube's 2009 Project:Direct is a psycho-sexual suspense thriller starring Bernard Bryan and Jean Sulli. We had to include 3 props (a red telephone, a soccer ball, and an instant photo). You can read the shooting script and watch the final film here. Everyone involved did a fantastic job.

"Shocking" is Wrapped!
Our entry in the 2008 National Film Challenge is called "Shocking." We had 3 days to create a 4-7 minute film with the following elements: * Horror or Comedy * A character named Stuart Gordon, a financial advisor * A helmet * The line "Enough Already!" The film was written by Joshua A. Cohen, directed by Chris Giovingo, and starred Damien Horton. We completed photography in about 14 hours. Cohencidence Productions has just produced the short film "Daycare." It was our first film that wasn't made for a contest or festival, and we consider it our best work to date.

"Posers" is a Winner!
CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRIS GIOVINGO AND JONATHAN "ICEMAN" KNUDSEN FOR WINNING THE "BEST DIRECTION" AWARD AT THIS YEAR'S 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT!
Cohencidence Productions has just produced the short film "Posers." It was written, produced, edited and scored in less than 2 days. Created as our entry for the 48HFP, we randomly drew cop/detective as our genre and had to include:
* a character named Gina Longfellow, a PR whiz * a backpack * the line "Can I please get some peace and quiet?"
It was written by Joshua A. Cohen based on a screen story by Rafal Brjesky, and starred Anthony Mingilino and Erin Michael. The full movie is now online. You can also read the final shooting script here. Enjoy!

Our first production was a short film called "Fertility," written, produced, edited and scored in less than 2 days. Created as our entry for the 48 Hour Film Project, we randomly drew horror as our genre and had to include:
Our cast and crew numbered 22, and we completed the film with an hour to spare. It was produced in association with Prolym Enterprises, directed by Chris Giovingo, and starred Peggy Anger and Paul Michael Bloodgood. Please watch the final edit here and check out the final shooting script.
